Ring or Disc: which is right for you?
Understand the difference, compare the fittings and choose with confidence.
Both Ring and Disc planners let you add, remove and rearrange pages. The difference is how those pages attach. Think about how you like to handle your planner, then check the exact components before you buy.

Choose Ring if you like a familiar binder
A ring binder is a straightforward option if you already know and like opening a mechanism to move pages. You can organise sections and swap inserts as your needs change.
Make sure pages are seated correctly before closing the rings. Avoid overfilling your binder or forcing the mechanism: pages should turn freely.
Choose Disc if you like rearranging pages
With a disc system, pages attach individually to the discs. You can move a page between sections without opening a ring mechanism. Handle the punched edge gently and support the page when removing or replacing it.
When building a setup from separate pieces, check whether your chosen product includes discs and covers. A folio or outer cover may not contain the complete planning system.

Will my inserts fit?
Ring and Disc inserts are not directly interchangeable. “A5” describes the paper size; it doesn’t tell you whether the punched edge will fit your planner.
Before ordering, compare the insert’s stated size and fitting with your binder. If you use more than one system, check every item in your basket rather than assuming all inserts have the same selection.
If you’re buying for a planner from another brand, don’t assume compatibility from the name or size alone. Compare the dimensions and punching, or ask us for help before ordering.
